Hugh McClelland

Hugh McClelland is a certified Yoga Instructor and Laugh Leader. McClelland identifies the specific benefits of laughter. He asks you to laugh like a baby, without getting the joke.

You have heard that laughing is wonderful for you but this video really exemplifies that any laughing is wonderful for you.  You don’t need to get the joke to benefit from laughing.  He does raise the question on normalizing laughter for no reason.

How will you laugh more?  How will you create a culture of laughter at work or home?

“Anxiety is lov…

“Anxiety is love’s greatest killer. It makes others feel as you might when a drowning man holds on to you. You want to save him, but you know he will strangle you with his panic.”

Anxiety is something that is becoming more prevalent in today’s society.  According to the National Institute of Modern Health, nearly 40 million American adults (18%) are suffering from anxiety in a given year.  On a daily basis, I can find a new reason to worry or become anxious.   Due to our ancestors, we innately worry and are constantly wary of our our surroundings.  However, it is important to find ways and spaces to relax. There are a few ways you can address anxiety and worrying including:

1. Creating a worry period.

2.  Determine if you can solve the problem.

3. Accept uncertainty.

4. Evaluate how others are affecting you.

5. Practice mindfulness (Yoga is a great example.)
